It was a cold day in January and our refrigerator was low on many of the key food groups. In fact, the cupboard looked a bit bare too. And so, together, Tina and I packed up the little one and headed out to our usual grocery store to pick up a few things.

Along the way, we said hello to the mailman, something we almost NEVER do. To be honest with you, I’m not sure what our letter carrier even looks like, so to say it was a mailMAN is an inadvertent judgement on my part. Apologies, apologies all around. Continue reading

A couple of cars for a couple that cares!

Tina and I used to drive a Buick Regal some years back. It was a nice comfortable ride, even though it was the kind of vehicle that put the ‘rust’ in ‘frustration’. One if its biggest issues was a leaky oil gasket and some sort of forward jerking motion when you slowed to a stop. It was quite the beast and definitely an oversized vehicle for our needs at the time. If that car could talk though, I’m certain it would have all sorts of stories, many of them involving Tina and an object, like a garage door or a garage door. (Congratulations! You have just witnessed an intentional repetition!) Undoubtedly though, the Regal was on its last legs. And so, Tina and I set out to buy a new car. Continue reading
